Just wanted to share some sights from Turkey

Here are a few shots from around Izmir and Istanbul. These are a few of our favorite places to go and shop and walk.

Home Again!!

Well we made it home safe and sound after a quick stop off in Iceland. Never thought that we would experience the call over the loud speaker of a plane "If there is a Doctor on board please come forward" Well that we did on our trip from Paris to Boston yesterday. Soon after we took off in Paris we heard the announcement over the loud speaker and it was a bit concerning, here we are cruising at 35,000 feet and they are looking for a Doctor on this 747 jet. Apparently one of the crew members had had a heart attack shortly after we took off and they need to get her medical attention fast. So as soon as they got her a doctor we felt the plane drop from 35,000 feet to what felt like 10,000 feet in seconds. They we were told that we needed to make a emergency landing in Iceland to get her medical attention and refuel before we were going to continue on to Boston. After a couple of hours delay we did make it home to warm arms of my mom and sister waiting for us patiently at the airport in Boston. Thanks for hanging in there for they delays!

Out of ICU and we will be home soon

Well after long waiting for Big Grandma to come out of ICU she has finally come out today to go into a normal hospital room. We are really hopefull that she will be home very soon. The plan is to move her to Istanbul when she comes out this time. So that way she will be closer to Auntie Mia and family. So sorry that Selim was not able to see her out of the ICU but still he was able to visit with her several times while he was in Turkey.
Ally and I will be flying to Istanbul to spend a day with Uncle Aydo and cousin Enver. Should be a great day tomorrow. We have not spent any time in Istanbul in a few years so it will be fun. Then first thing Saturday morning we will be flying back to the USA after a short stop in Paris. This time every thing should be open so we should be able to check things out.
Unfortunately Ally has announced that she is not leaving Turkey with out Bubby, little does she know that she does not have a choice in the matter. Hopefully Bubby will be coming back state side in a few more weeks.
Thank you all for the great prayers it does seem to be helping we are still praying hard for her recovery.

Girls made it to Turkey

Just a quick post:
Ally and İ made the trip across the big pond by our selves on Sunday to come to see Big Grandma. We had a few stops on the way we had our first visit to Paris together and then we went on to İstanbul for a few more hours then we arrived in İzmir. Daddy was waiting at the airport with open arms to see us arrive. So good to all be back together again. All is well we are working to get Big Grandma out of ICU. We will post some of our photos of our trip as we are here to share.
